While Lean in operations works because production is highly transactional with many sequential and repetitive activities, NPDI is not like that as it is more dispersed across the business and highly concurrent. However, the Lean philosophy can still be applied – by going back to the real "intent" of Lean and applying it in a broader range of ways.
PA Consulting Group helps clients improve their new product development and introduction processes. Over recent years PA has identified the key elements to introducing new products in an efficient and cost-effective Lean manner; focussing on the customer, eliminating waste, creating flow within the process, and a supportive continuous improvement culture. In line with this we have established a maturity model against which we would like you to assess yourself.
Our survey assesses an organisation's maturity against PA's Best Practice Lean NPDI framework, and we would be very interested to have your views. Completion of the survey should take approximately 15 minutes. Once all the survey results are in, we would be delighted to feed back your results with any appropriate benchmark comparators. Click here for direct access to this online survey. The online survey will be accessible until 20 November 2009.
Please be assured that your survey answers will remain completely anonymous and confidential and the research data will only be shared in an aggregated format which does not allow individuals to be identified. Your responses and details are processed and stored on secure links and servers and will not be passed on to anyone else. Please contact us if you have any questions.
