Scott Lever, PA's outsourcing expert (based in Boston, US) recently shared his perspectives on recent M&A activity in the HR BPO space to Human Resources Executive. According to Scott, "The HRO market has been quiet for three or four years and the shape of deals has changed dramatically since a number of much publicised missteps...Now, two of the major providers [NorthgateArinso and ACS] are redefining the offerings."
As for impact on the customer side, Scott says, the deals make these two providers even more full-service shops, so it's easier for them to get into a relationship with a client and then expand into the other services clients may need.
