How would you describe your approach to your work?
A consistent feature of my work is the passion I bring to the job - I aim to enthuse and energise the people I work with because I believe in the benefits our work can deliver. Although the projects that I have worked on involve technology, my approach is to deliver sustainable business benefits by ensuring there is a balance of business, processes, people and technology.
What made you want to join PA?
The challenge and excitement of working with very talented individuals at all ranks. There is a real ‘can do' attitude and a culture that enables individuals to succeed and provides them with a range of support, from training to on-the-job support.
In 2009, you won Asian Business Women of the Year, how does that make you feel?
I am humbled that the panel chose to honour me from such a strong group of my peers . This award follows on from the recent public acknowledgement of Zanzibar, the collaborative e-procurement shared service delivered on behalf of Her Majesty’s Treasury.
Martin Jay led the collaborative procurement workstream of the Treasury’s Operational Efficiency Review, and he pin-pointed Zanzibar as key to delivering multi-billion pound savings for the UK Government.
All of this is great news for everyone at ProcServe, though I won’t forget that at heart I’m just a girl from Preston!”
What are your interests outside work?
I have an active social life outside ProcServe. I love to travel and read. My passion is art. I paint in my studio at home and am regularly found snooping around one of London's modern art galleries. Other interests include film and learning to dance.
*ProcServe was spun out of PA Consulting Group in 2006, as part of the firm’s successful venture programme. They sucessfully provide fast, flexible and secure electronic marketplaces and trading connectivity solutions.
